PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus capable of accurately calculating an analyte's absorption amount of an electromagnetic wave.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus comprises: calculation means for calculating an analyte's absorption amount of an electromagnetic wave accompanying irradiation of an RF pulse on a part to be imaged on the analyte or bed position; means for setting an imaging condition under which the calculated absorption amount satisfies a condition for a specified value of the absorption amount of the electromagnetic wave, on the basis of relation between the calculated absorption amount and the specified value of the absorption amount of the electromagnetic wave; a bed control device for controlling a top plate according to the set imaging condition; magnetic field generation means for generating a magnetic field for MRI imaging in a space for accommodating the analyte; RF pulse generation means for generating an RF pulse with which the analyte is to be irradiated, according to the set imaging condition; and means for detecting an NMR signal generated by the analyte and imaging the detected NMR signal. |
