PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of operating a multi-fuel combustion system of a combustion turbine.SOLUTION: The method of operating a multi-fuel combustion system 10 including a first phase and a second phase is provided in which the first phase comprises: a step of igniting a combustor inner cylinder 12 to ignite a first type of fuel supplied to the combustor inner cylinder 12 through a first conduit 24; and a step of supplying steam to the first conduit 24 in addition to the first type of fuel, and supplying the steam to a second conduit 26 after igniting the first type of fuel, and in which the second phase comprises a step of supplying a second type of fuel to the combustor inner cylinder 12 through the second conduit after igniting the first type of fuel, while stopping the supply of the first type of fuel.
