PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel salt of S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe) having improved stability and comprising SAMe of at least 70 wt.%.SOLUTION: This invention provides salt of SAMe represented by the following formula. The salt is useful for treatment of depression. In the formula, HX is strong mineral acid having acid dissociation constant (pKa) of less than 2.5 such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid; n and m are the number of 0.5-2.0; and Y is one or more selected from calcium oxide, magnesium oxide, calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, calcium sulfate and magnesium sulfate. |
