SOLE FOR SHOES, AND SHOES

This sole for shoes is formed from a rubber composition which contains: a rubber component that contains a natural rubber and/or an isoprene rubber; and a crosslinked resin. The crosslinked resin is a crosslinked ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and the crosslinked ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer is contained in an amount of 3-40 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component. The rubber component contains 70 parts by mass or more of the isoprene rubber in 100 parts by mass of the rubber component. This sole for shoes exhibits excellent mechanical strength, while having adequate hardness.
