A liquid applying tool capable of generating a pressurizing action using a simple configuration and without requiring much effort at the time of use, the liquid applying tool smoothly supplying a liquid to an applicator at the tip with the assistance of the pressurizing action, is provided with: a liquid container (13) for applying a liquid (L) accommodated therein by using an applicator (15); an outer container (12) for sheathing the exterior of the liquid container (13) and causing the tip of the applicator (15) to be exposed to the outside; a cap (20) for covering the tip of the applicator (15) and removably fitted to the tip part of the outer container (12); a compression member (40) disposed in a rear end part of the applicator (15) inside the outer container (12); a forward biasing member (62) for biasing the compression member (40) toward the tip in the axial direction; and a transmission member (60) reciprocating in the axial direction inside the outer container (12). The transmission member (60) reciprocates in the axial direction inside the outer container (12) along with the detachment and attachment movements of the cap (20), thereby causing the compression member (40) to reciprocate in the axial direction relative to the liquid container (13).
