PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizer protective film that can ensure good visibility without rainbow unevenness (color unevenness) even when observed from an oblique direction relative to the vertical direction on a display screen of a liquid crystal display device, and has a dynamic strength suitable for a reduction in thickness.SOLUTION: There is provided a polarizer protective film composed of a polyester film having a retardation of 3000 to 30000 nm and an impact absorption energy of 0.5 J or more.
