PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise generated in an elevator by vibration of a side plate and a door.SOLUTION: An elevator includes a noise reducing device which is provided in a cage and reduces noise in the cage, a microphone 6 which is provided in a front side plate 21 of the cage for detecting noise in the cage, a control apparatus 5 which processes an output signal of the microphone 6 to output the signal for generating sound having the same amplitude with and an opposite phase to the noise that is detected by the microphone 6, and a speaker 4 for outputting the sound having the same amplitude with and an opposite phase to the noise in the cage by the output signal of the control apparatus 5. The noise is reduced by interference between the noise and the sound outputted from the speaker. |
