In the present invention, an ultrasonic probe is provided with the following: a probe main body that causes vibration, including longitudinal vibration the vibration direction of which is parallel to the longitudinal axis; and a tip-end treatment part that is positioned more to the tip-end direction side of the probe main body than a node position which is, from among the node positions of the longitudinal vibration, the node position closest to the tip-end direction side. The tip-end treatment part is provided with a contact surface, and the ultrasonic probe is provided with a coating section that is coated onto at least a part of a surface other than the contact surface of the tip-end treatment part and that is formed of a material having higher thermal resistance than that of the probe main body. |
