<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting element which has high luminous efficiency, a long life and reduced drive voltage.SOLUTION: A light emitting element comprises: a positive electrode 301; a negative electrode 302; and a plurality of luminescent layers 313 which form a layer structure in which the luminescent layers are in contact with each other, between the two electrodes. The plurality of luminescent layers has a first luminescent layer 313-1 closer to the positive electrode and a second luminescent layer 313-2 closer to the negative electrode. Each of the first and second luminescent layers includes a host material, a hole transport material and a luminescent material and a concentration of the hole transport material in the first luminescent layer is higher than that in the second luminescent layer.</p> |
