<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module that is less expensive but durable in an optical module including a card edge.SOLUTION: An optical module includes: a housing (11); an optical communication unit (12) placed in the housing for transmitting and/or receiving optical signals; a control board (13) which is placed in the housing, includes a card edge (14) connected with an external communication control apparatus and notches (15, 16) where part thereof is cut and lost and is electrically connected with the optical communication unit for controlling transmission and/or reception; projections (18, 19) integrally connected with the housing and extending such that they go through a board surface of the control board at the notches of the control board; and adhesive for fixing the projections and the control board.</p> |
