<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a single phase AC/DC converter for reducing pulsation of an input current and restraining noises due to pulsation of the current, and an air conditioner using the single phase AC/DC converter. <P>SOLUTION: The converter comprises a bridge circuit, on which a rectifier element train formed by serially connecting rectifier elements is parallely connected; a reverse block switching element parallely connected to the rectifier elements constituting two rectifier element trains among rectifier element trains; a capacitor parallely connected to a load side of the bridge circuit; and a single phase alternating current power supply, whose one pole is connected to contact points of the rectifier elements of the two rectifier element trains via a reactor, and whose other pole is connected to contact points of the other rectifier element trains. Pulse width modulation control means creates two PWM control signals by triangular waves with opposed phases, and controls one reverse block switching element by one PWM control signal, and the other reverse block switching element by the other PWM control signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
