<p>The present invention is related to a method for controlling the delivery of a continuous elongated element in a process and in an apparatus for building tyres for vehicle wheels. The continuous elongated element (11) is guided in a dynamic storage device (10) along a zigzag path defined by a plurality of idle rollers (19, 21), on which the continuous elongated element (11) is partially wound, and is advanced in a feed direction (F1-F8) along the abovementioned path. The method provides for applying torque (Cd) at at least one drive element (29, 31) placed along the abovementioned zigzag path, in a manner such that the continuous elongated element (11) is conducted in the feed direction (F1-F8) and that the longitudinal tension (ad) in the continuous elongated element (11) itself downstream of the drive element (29, 31) is reduced with respect to the longitudinal tension (cm) upstream of the same drive element (29, 31).</p> |
