PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative pressure pump that reduces energy loss of a power source by suppressing thrust force from acting on a drive shaft driven by the power source to rotate and also intermitting transmission of rotation from the drive shaft.SOLUTION: A negative pressure pump 10 comprises: an enclosure 20 into which a driving shaft 100 is inserted; a pump part 30 which generates negative pressure through transmission of rotation of the driving shaft to a driven shaft 40; a driving-side clutch plate 46 which rotates integrally with the driving shaft to move along the axis of the driving shaft and has magnetism; a driven-side clutch plate 48 which rotates integrally with the driven shaft and transmits the rotation from the driving shaft to the driven shaft as the driving-side clutch plate engages; a coil spring 56 which presses the driving-side clutch plate against the driven-side clutch plate; an electromagnet 52 which generates magnetic force against the pressing force to draw the driving-side clutch plate away from the driven-side clutch plate; and a projection wall part 38 which is provided on the enclosure to receive the driven-side clutch plate on which the pressing force acts and a projection wall part 28 which supports one end part of the coil spring. |
