<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle having a CVT for improving drivability at higher elevations by regulating a WOT guard on the basis of an altitude.SOLUTION: A system for controlling a transmission 120 of a vehicle 100, includes a transmission capable of changing a gear ratio, an engine 110 connected to the transmission and having an engine speed and an engine output, an altitude sensor 145 detecting the altitude of the vehicle, a memory 142 storing a gear ratio limit on the basis of the engine speed and the engine output and a prescribed altitude corresponding to the altitude where engine performance of the engine is degraded at the altitude higher than the altitude, and a processor receiving the altitude when the altitude is over the prescribed altitude, and regulating the gear ratio limit on the basis of the altitude.</p> |
