<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical glass satisfying all of demands such that the glass (1) contains no environmentally undesirable component, (2) easily achieves a low glass transition point, (3) easily achieves high refractive index characteristics, (4) has excellent transmittance for visible light, (5) has excellent devitrification resistance during mold press-forming, and (6) has excellent weather resistance and chemical durability.SOLUTION: An optical glass for a lens contains, as a glass composition and in terms of mol%, 43.5 to 90% of SnO and 0.1 to 56.5% of PO+BO+SiO, and contains substantially none of a lead component, an arsenic component and a fluorine component. The glass has an Abbe number (νd) and a partial dispersion ratio (θg,F) satisfying the relationship of (θg,F)≤-0.0047×(νd)+0.76.</p> |
