The invention relates to a method for generating a data record which comprises functional components, wherein the functional components specify device functions of an electrical automation device (10) and prompt a computing unit of the automation device (10) to execute the corresponding device functions, and wherein functional components are selected and combined into a data record by means of a parameterization unit according to a desired scope of device functions of the automation device (10) and the data record is provided for transmission. In order to further develop a method of the type specified above such that the reliable operation of an automation device (10) can be guaranteed after the installation of additional device functions without requiring additional device tests, according to the invention a utilization of the computing unit of the automation device (10) is identified, a utilization parameter specifying the utilization of the computing unit is generated for the data record, the utilization parameter is compared to a utilization threshold value of the computing unit and an error signal is generated if the utilization parameter exceeds the utilization threshold value. The invention also relates to a corresponding parameterization unit. |
