INFLAMMATION AND OXIDATIVE STRESS LEVEL ASSAY The present invention relates to a method for determining the systemic metabolic status of an organism in relation to inflammation and oxidative stress using a biological sample 5 (Inflammation and Oxidative Stress Level Assay). This comprises detection and quantification of one or more derivatives of arachidonic acid (eicosanoids), linoleic acid and/ or docosahexaenoic acid, preferably together with one or more oxidative stress parameters and/or with one or more analytes from other metabolite classes in parallel, as well as a kit adapted for carrying out such a method. Moreover, the invention relates to the biomarkers as employed in the method.
