PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state image pickup device capable of improving the sensitivity while preventing degradation of mixed color.SOLUTION: A solid state image pickup device includes: an antireflection part of a moth eye structure, which is formed on an interface at the light receiving side in photoelectric conversion region of the respective pixels which are disposed two-dimensionally; and an inter-pixel shading part for shading from incoming light formed under the interface of the antireflection section. This disclosed technology is applicable, for example, to a rear surface irradiation type solid state image pickup device.
