PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive transfer recording medium having such properties that an amount of a dye used in a dye layer can be reduced, abnormal transfer in printing can be prevented even after the medium is stored at high temperature and high humidity, and partial matting on a surface of a printed matter, that is so-called a phenomenon of 'shininess', can be reduced.SOLUTION: The heat-sensitive transfer recording medium includes a heat-resistant lubricating layer 40 disposed on one surface of a substrate 10, and an undercoat layer 20 and a dye layer 30 disposed in this order on the other surface of the substrate 10. The undercoat layer 20 comprises at least a water-soluble polymer and a vinylpyrrolidone-vinylimidazole copolymer. |
