1. A method of treating a vascular disease, comprising:
providing a device having a regional delivery interface comprising a therapeutic agent; contacting the delivery interface with a surface of a segment of a vessel that is known or suspected to include a region that is afflicted with a vascular disease, wherein:
the delivery interface contacts the vessel segment surface not only at the known or suspected afflicted region but at a non-afflicted region at the periphery of the afflicted region as well; and, delivering the therapeutic agent onto or into the vessel segment surface from the regional delivery interface in contact with the vessel segment surface. |
