<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vehicle bumper structure that prevents a collision object from rolling outward in a vehicle width direction of a lower absorber during collision with a vehicle, even when the collision object collides with the vicinity of an end on the outside in a vehicle width direction of the lower absorber. <P>SOLUTION: In the vehicle bumper structure, a cut out 36 is formed in a lower wall 34 of a front bumper cover 24 to weaken the lower wall 34 at the part adjacent to the end on the outside in a vehicle width direction of the front bumper lower absorber 22, and a notch 38 is formed continuously to the cut out 36 in the front bumper cover 24. When the collision object 40 collides with the vicinity of the end on the outside in a vehicle width direction of the front bumper lower absorber 22, a breakage occurs starting from the cut out 36 on a lower end side of the front bumper cover 24, and then the front bumper cover 24 is bent and deformed so as to be recessed in a direction of receiving a collision load. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
