<p>The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for processing a signaling message. The method for processing a signaling message includes the steps of determining whether a direction of progress of the signaling message is in a uplink direction or downlink direction; extracting a retransmission-related parameter set separately for each determined direction of progress; and processing retransmission of the signaling message based on the extracted retransmission-related parameter in the case of no response. Therefore, since a message sending side node can set a retransmission time cycle parameter longer or set a retransmission number parameter more than those of a message receiving side node according to a direction of progress of a signaling message, a serious increase of signaling and system overload can be avoided in a node existing at a starting point of the direction of progress of the signaling message even if the signaling message is lost due to a network failure.</p> |
