<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The support has a support strut (2) connected to a knee airbag housing (1), where the support strut is a profiled tube. The support strut is mounted on carrying frames (6, 7) of the motor vehicle by way of an elastic element (12). The elastic element is composed of a material selected from the group consisting of plastic, elastomeric plastic and rubber. The elastic element is arranged between the profiled tube and the carrying frame, such that the profiled tube is mounted on a floating manner. The elastic element is adhesively bonded with the support strut. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Support for an airbag housing i.e. knee airbag housing (claimed), of a motor vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The support utilizes an elastic element for preventing noise generation. The support utilizes the support strut, and no connecting elements are exchanged while using the support, such that the support is inexpensive, and the support can be mounted in a simple manner. The support enables connection of support strut in a manner that is insensitive to tolerances, thus maintaining joint gaps.
