The present invention discloses a mobile terminal capable of quickly capturing a picture without displaying a preview image and a method of controlling therefor. The mobile terminal according to the present invention includes a camera configured to capture a picture, a display configured to display information, and a controller configured to control the camera to capture a picture with skipping to display a preview image inputted via the camera in response to a user input, and control the captured picture to be displayed on the display together with the preview image after the picture is captured.
