摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a low power image monitoring apparatus. The low power image monitoring apparatus comprises an image sensor unit (10); a low compressing unit encoding image data obtained from the image sensor unit (10) at a first compression rate; an event sensor unit (30) generating an event signal when an event is sensed by the image sensor unit (10), a high compressing unit (40) operating upon receiving the event signal from the event sensor unit (30) and encoding image data from the image sensor unit (10) and the low compressing unit (20) at a second compression rate greater than the first compression rate; a memory unit (50); and a control unit (60). Thus, the low power image monitoring apparatus continuously operates in a low power state before the event occurs, and since image data prior to the occurrence of the event is obtained in the low power state, power consumption can be reduced. Moreover, when an event occurs, since image data are obtained through the compression method having excellent compression rate, data storage efficiency can be enhanced.</p>
