<p>The invention relates to a scattering head of a scattering installation for at least partially producing a scattered particle mat, a scattering installation and a method for producing a scattered particle mat in the course of producing material boards for the production of a scattered particle mat (7) with at least partially oriented scattering by a scattering head (1) in the course of producing material boards by means of pressure and/or heat in a press, wherein the scattered particle mat (7) is at least partially formed by the scattering head (1) on a continuously circulating forming belt (8) arranged under the scattering head (1) in the falling direction of the scattered particles (3). For the method, the invention consists in that the scattered particles are oriented in the direction of production (13) in any desired sequence by a transverse orienting device (12) and/or a longitudinal orienting device (15) and are scattered on the forming belt (8) in an unoriented manner by a spoke-type scattering device (14). The scattering head is correspondingly distinguished by the fact that, for scattering the scattered particles (3), a transverse orienting device (12) and/or a longitudinal orienting device (15) are arranged together with a spoke-type scattering device (14) in any desired sequence in the direction of production (13) over the forming belt (8).
