<p>The present invention relates to a method for separating and purifying high purity insoluble sulfur capable of being used as a vulcanizing and curing agent in rubber industries in an insoluble sulfur slurry solution manufactured by a quenching method using carbon bisulfide as a coolant. The method for separating and purifying insoluble sulfur according to the present invention is able to manufacture high purity insoluble sulfur capable of being used as a vulcanizing and curing agent in rubber industries by removing carbon bisulfide, coolants, soluble sulfur and the like from the insoluble sulfur slurry solution manufactured by the quenching method using the carbon bisulfide as the coolant. Additionally, the separating and purifying method according to the present invention is able to reduce manufacture costs by allowing high priced coolants to be collected and reused and stabilizes manufacture environment. The insoluble sulfur produced by the separating and purifying method of the present invention is able to be used as a vulcanizing and curing agent in rubber industries and, especially, tire manufacture since the insoluble sulfur includes 90% or more of insoluble sulfur on total sulfur (IS), 1.5% or less of residues, 71% or more of HTS and particles with a particle diameter of 5-30μm.</p> |
