Provided is a hermetic decanter-type centrifugal separator which can certainly seal an inner space and significantly reduce the consumption of a seal gas and running course during operation. The hermetic decanter-type centrifugal separator consists of a seal member (10) which comprises a contact-type oil seal (13) that has an inner circumferential edge (13b) of a rib part (13a) contact with the outer circumferential surface of an outer axis part (4a) of a bowl hub (4) on the outer circumferential side of the outer axis part of a bowl hub (4) that penetrates a side wall (6a) of a casing (6); a non-contact type labyrinth seal (11) arranged in a more inner space than the oil seal (13); a seal gas supplying path (12) supplying seal gas to the labyrinth seal (11); and a grease supplying path (14) supplying grease to a space (S1) between the labyrinth seal (11) and the oil seal (13). The inner space can be sealed by the seal member (10). |
