<p>A carriage (1) for an overhead conveyor (2) comprises a carrier element (5) of stainless steel which rotatably carries a track engaging wheel (10) on a shaft (12) of stainless steel. The track engaging wheel (10) comprises an engineering plastics material and is carried on a pair of ball race bearings (18) of stainless steel on the shaft (12). A track engaging groove (32) of the track engaging wheel (10) engages a conveying track (3) along which the carriage (1) is urgeable. A support hook (4) for engaging product to be conveyed depends downwardly from a first side limb (8) of the carrier element (5) and is swivelable about a first vertical swivel axis (39) and a second horizontal swivel axis (47) relative to the carrier element (5).</p> |
