<p>The patent specification relates to an electronic watt-hour meter, which measures each current by phase flowing in a watt-hour meter and gives an alarm if a measured value is higher than a predetermined setting value and performs load blocking if a failure state is serious, and a control method thereof. The electronic watt-hour meter according to the patent specification is connected with a power supply unit and a load and comprises; a voltage/current detection unit which detects voltage and current; an analog/digital converting unit which converts the detected voltage and current into a digital signal; a digital signal processing unit which calculates electric energy based on the converted voltage and current and measures a current value by phase in real time; a control unit which updates the current value by phase as a maximum load current value when the current by phase is higher than a predetermined setting value for a period of time and produces an alarm signal; and a display unit which outputs the produced alarm signal.</p> |
