Disclosed by the present invention are an apparatus and a method to detect a person using gait information. The apparatus to detect a person using gait information according to the present invention includes: a detection unit which detects a region-of-interest (ROI) which is a human area in each inputted image frame if the image frame is inputted; an extraction unit which extracts feature points from each ROI, which is the detected human area; a computation unit which computes the center trajectory of a person between image frames by using the extracted feature points; and a correction unit which matches the computed center trajectory of the person with a preset trigonometrical function and corrects the center trajectory of the person among the image frames depending on the matched result. |
