The present invention provides an electrostatic protection component and a method for manufacturing the same. The electrostatic protection component includes: a body on which multiple insulating layers are laminated; a coil which is disposed within the body; and an ESD suppressor which is disposed within the body to be disposed with the coil in a laminated direction of the insulating layers, wherein the ESD suppressor includes first and second discharging electrodes to be separated from each other and a discharge inducing unit which is in contact with the first and second discharging electrodes to be connected to a part facing each other and forms metal particles. The first and second discharging electrodes are located on the coil side compared to the discharge inducing unit in the laminated direction of the insulating layers. The body has a cavity to cover the entire discharge inducing unit in the laminated direction on the coil. The cavity is in contact with the discharge inducing unit and a part to be faced with the first and second discharging electrodes. |
