<p>Provided are a wireless communication terminal and a control method thereof which computes location information of the terminal and deactivates a Wi-Fi function if the location information indicates that the terminal is not located within an effective coverage of previously stored Wi-Fi connection information, thereby reducing unnecessary battery power consumption. The wireless communication terminal according to the present invention may comprise a Wi-Fi module which wirelessly accesses to the Internet via an access point (AP), a mobile communication module which computes location information, a memory unit which stores preset Wi-Fi connection information, and a control unit which turns off the Wi-Fi module if the location information is not within an effective coverage of the Wi-Fi connection information when the Wi-Fi module is on.</p> |
