Reactive dyes have formula: where D is the radical of a water-soluble dye; X is -O-, -S- or -NR- (where R is H or (un) substituted alkyl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl; Y+ is a hydrazinium radical in which the N atom attached to the triazine ring has linked to it 2 hydrocarbyl radicals ( which may together form a heterocyclic ring); n is 1-4.
