[Class 7 (ii)] Air to be mixed with producer gas &c. is introduced into a mixing chamber p through adjustable apertures e, f and an automatic valve c which is prevented from closing completely by an adjustable sleeve g, the arrangement ensuring the admission of air during idling. An outwardly opening valve h prevents .damage from backfiring. The mixing chamber p has four identical apertures in which the various valves and connections are mounted.
