1. A method for aligning stereoscopic camera images on a display, comprising:
acquiring a first image of a first visual field and at least one second image of a second visual field that at least partially overlaps the first visual field, wherein differences between the first image and the second image include parallax information; receiving a user selection of a region of interest in the first image; causing, by a processor associated with a computer, display of alternating views of the first image and the second image on the display; while causing display of alternating views of the first and second images, aligning the user-selected region of interest in the first image with a corresponding region of interest of the second image such that the user-selected region of interest of the first image occupies the same location as the corresponding region of interest of the second image; and performing computational analysis on the first and second images to extract quantitative information associated with aligned parallax first and second images. |
