<p>Disclosed content relates to a method for restricting service area of a communication terminal for processing pari-mutuel business and an apparatus thereof. According to the method, information of each AP located in a restricted area able to use restricted content related with purchase, issuing and inquiry of pari-mutuel tickets is registered in a server computer, and location of an AP is checked by collecting the information of the communication-connected AP from a communication terminal. If the checked location of the AP is in the restricted area able to use the restricted content related with purchase, issuing and inquiry of the pari-mutuel tickets and the AP is a previously registered AP, the method allows the corresponding communication terminal to use the restricted content related with purchase, issuing and inquiry of pari-mutuel tickets and traces the movement location. If the location of the AP connected to the communication terminal is not in the restricted area able to use the restricted content, the method does not provide the restricted content related with purchase, issuing and inquiry of pari-mutuel tickets but provides general content related public relations and schedule only. Therefore, the present invention enables a user to approach pari-mutuel ticket related works variously and easily, differently from the conventional method of using a window or a dedicated dispenser in purchasing the pari-mutuel tickets.
