1. A method to remove heavy metals from a mammal comprising:
administering to said mammal a pharmaceutically effective amount of a hydrophobic compound having a chemical formula: where n=1-4 and X is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, lithium sodium, potassium, rubidium, cesium and francium; and subsequently excreting heavy metals bound to said hydrophobic compound primarily in feces of said mammal.
