Provided is a method of realizing a computer which compresses a three dimensional modeled object in a computer. The method includes the steps of: providing a mesh of the 3D modeled object (S10); parameterizing (u, v) the mesh on a second dimensional (2D) plane by creating a set of vertexes having 2D coordinates; providing a grid to the 2D plane; and correcting the 2D coordinates of each vertex by allocating one vertex to one intersection of the grid. Such compression method is lossless, completely reversible, suitable to efficiently reduce the storage size of a CAD file. |
