The drive system comprises a planetary gear (11) having a ring gear, several planet gears, a planet carrier, and a sun gear. A transmission unit (1) is associated with a first shaft connected to a working machine or rotor shaft coupling flange (14). A sun gear shaft (162) is connected to a hollow rotor shaft (23) which is connected to the rotor (22) of motor/generator unit (2). A bearing seat for the shaft (16) is associated with the bearing assembly by which the sun gear is arranged on the motor housing.
