The present invention relates to a secured smart grid communications system and a method therefor using a certificate-based device management system (DMS). The communications system comprises: at least one device having unique identification information; the DMS which is connected to the device to perform registration and authentication of the device by using the unique identification information, controls a connection state to a smart meter according to whether the identification information is matched or not, and performs cryptographic communications with an advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) server through inter-authentication with the AMI server by using a certificate exchange; the smart meter connected to the DMS; and the AMI server which transmits its certificate to the DMS by way of the smart meter, and performs authentication of the DMS by using the certificate transmitted from the DMS to perform the cryptographic communications with the DMS. According to the invention, devices are managed and controlled by using unique identification numbers of the devices using the DMS, and inter-authentication with the AMI server is performed through the DMS, such that secured communications is facilitated through the inter-authentication and electronic signatures between a smart grid user and a power supplier.
|
