Disclosed is a display device. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the display device includes: a display unit which displays a virtual keyboard; an input unit which receives a stroke input to a key on the virtual keyboard; and a control unit which if the stroke input is received displays a character corresponding to the key, recommends at least one character which can be follow the key, and controls display of the recommended character. The recommended character is displayed not to be overlapped with characters of the basic keys on the virtual keyboard. |
