The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for the non-fuel use of the hydrolysis product of a lignocellulosic biomass, specifically the hydrolysis treatment liquid that is obtained during a step for obtaining dissolved pulp by hydrolysis of a lignocellulosic biomass prior to kraft digestion. That is, the present invention provides a dispersant containing the hydrolysis product that is obtained by hydrolysis of a lignocellulosic biomass. This dispersant has excellent dispersibility of substances such as various inorganic and organic substances, regardless of whether in powder, particle, granule, fiber, or tabular form, for instance.
