A first X-ray image is taken in a predefined position of a focal point (120) and in a first orientation of an X-ray tube (101) of an X-ray appliance (100). The X-ray tube (101) is then adjusted by rotation about a predefined angle and by positioning, wherein the focal point (120) is located in the predefined position prior to the adjustment and after the adjustment. After the adjustment, the X-ray tube (101) is located in a second orientation. A second X-ray image (202) is then taken in the predefined position and in the second orientation. A combined X-ray image composed at least of the first and second X-ray image is established.
