PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a storage area and shorten processing time necessary for an update of a program held by an image processing device.SOLUTION: An image processing device 10 comprises: an update execution unit 21 for updating a program; a success/unsuccess determination unit 22 for determining whether an update of a program is successful; an information transmission/reception unit 23 for receiving information on a model of another device connected through a network and on a version of a program held by the other device; a comparison unit 24 for comparing a model or a version of a program with that of other device; a program transmission/reception unit 25 for receiving a program held by other device and transmitting a program held by the device itself to the other device; and a storage unit 26 for storing information on an update of a program. Then, when it is determined that the update of the program is unsuccessful, the image processing device 10 acquires a program from the other device to perform restoration processing.
