PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator hoistway apparatus which suppresses noise applied to a car by reducing effectively the flow rate of air between the car and a hoistway without changing the horizontal cross-sectional area of the hoistway of an elevator.SOLUTION: At least two hoistways are connected together through a connection passage, and at least one air blowing unit is provided in the connection passage so as to modify blowing direction of the blowing unit according to the movement direction of the car. Since an air duct is not provided in the hoistways, it is unnecessary to modify the horizontal cross-sectional area. Since the pressure on the travel-direction front or rear side of the car is adjustable by the blowing unit according to the movement of the car, noise applied to the car can be suppressed by reducing effectively the flow rate of air between the car and the hoistways. |
