<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide powder for producing a powder-compact magnetic core superior in core loss characteristic.SOLUTION: Powder 2 for a powder-compact magnetic core comprises: metal powder 4 including iron as a primary component; and an insulative coating film 6 deposited on the surface of the metal powder 4. The coating film 6 includes polymer of a mixture of titanium alkoxides and silicon alkoxides. Preferably, in the powder 2 for a powder-compact magnetic core, each of the titanium alkoxides is an oligomer of titanium alkoxide. Preferably, in the powder 2 for a powder-compact magnetic core, the ratio of the mass of titanium to the mass of silicon included in the coating film is between 2 and 6 inclusive. Preferably, in the powder 2 for a powder-compact magnetic core, the coverage of the metal powder 4 by the coating film 6 is between 80 and 100% inclusive. Preferably, in the powder 2 for a powder-compact magnetic core, the coating film 6 has a thickness of 1-200 nm. The coating film 6 includes oxides of titanium and silicon.</p> |
