PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal structure of a rotary machine capable of stably moving seal fins or seal fin opposing portions in the radial direction even when seal pieces are thermally expanded, and also capable of reducing leakage from a gap in a circumferential direction end portion of the seal pieces, in the seal structure of a rotary machine which has enabled movement of the seal fins or the seal fin opposing portions in the radial direction according to an operation state of the rotary machine by utilizing working fluid pressure and a spring force of the rotary machine.SOLUTION: In a seal structure of a rotary machine in which seal pieces divided in a circumferential direction and including seal fins or seal fin opposing portions can be moved in the radial direction according to an operation state of a rotary machine by utilizing working fluid pressure and a spring force of the rotary machine, a seal member is installed which has an opening portion on a leakage steam inflow side at a gap formed between seal pieces adjacent to each other, in which an opening portion spreads by leakage steam inflow pressure, and which elastically deforms so as to block the gap between the adjacent seal pieces.
