PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to reduce consumption power at an antenna side facility of radio-on-fiber including a radio device side facility and the antenna side facility.SOLUTION: As an optical/electrical conversion unit 10 at a radio device side, a radio-on-fiber communication device comprises: an optical modulation unit 12 into which an electrical signal as a transmission signal output from a radio device 1 is input and that converts the electrical signal into an optical signal and outputs it; and an optical amplifier 14 that amplifies the optical intensity of the optical signal as the transmission signal output from the optical modulation unit 12. Also, as an optical/electrical conversion unit 20 at an antenna side, the radio-on-fiber communication device comprises an optical detector 21 that is connected with the optical amplifier 14 by an optical fiber 2A, and converts the optical signal as a transmission signal transmitted by the optical fiber 2A into an electrical signal. Thereby, the radio-on-fiber communication device reduces a carrier wave frequency component of the optical signal modulated at the optical modulation unit 12. |
