PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for recovery of waste heat which utilize waste heat efficiently and solve the problem of deposition of carbon inside combustion equipment.SOLUTION: A waste heat recovery apparatus includes a first heat exchanger, a reformer and a reformation feed preheater, arranged on or in a waste gas discharge pipe, in order from the upstream toward the downstream. The waste gas temperature in the upstream of the waste gas discharge pipe is higher than the waste gas temperature in the downstream. The reformer in one embodiment may be a hydrogen generation reformer, and generated hydrogen is introduced in the combustion equipment for use. Waste heat is thus utilized efficiently, and the problem of deposition of carbon in the combustion equipment is also solved. A waste heat recovery method is also provided. |
